Propagation Guild Meeting August 2017

The Propagation Guild will meet on Wed. August 2 at Jane’s house (29 Clearview Ct. North) at 1:00 p.m. We will be discussing plans for the upcoming Garden Club year including a plant sale at the Flagler Beach Farmer’s Market on Friday Oct. 20.  It is time to start propagating plants for the Oct. sale as it is a good time to get plants started.  Jane has pots for everyone so check your inventory.  Be thinking of any special projects, techniques you would like the guild to participate in this year. Let’s continue making this a fun group.

Please let Jane know if you will be attending the meeting, janevl@pcfl.net.

Jan’s Fairy Garden

Here is a contribution from our club member Jan Wulff.

Next to the driveway in plain sight, but easily overlooked, is a miniature garden.

Jan invites you on a stroll through her Fairy Garden which she made for her  3 yr. old grand-daughter.

Jan:

I started with a fairy house and added the steps to the pool.

Then a bridge to a garden was built.

The garden.

Those fairies are pretty busy.

My grand daughter is delighted to see what the fairies do next every time she comes to Mimi’s house.

June = Garden Club Month

Did you know that June is National Garden Month?

In addition the City of Palm Coast made a Proclamation that June is Garden Club Month.  This is done by the Mayor and City Council “to acknowledge the extraordinary efforts of the Garden Club at Palm Coast for fostering an appreciation of the enormous pleasure gardening brings to our community”.

Below you see the Proclamation made by the City.

We also have a display in front of the Main Library (2500 Palm Coast Parkway NW) dedicated to our club. It is already up and will be there until mid June.
