The Garden Club at Palm Coast is looking for volunteers/candidates for several roles in the Club.
Webmaster – This position is under the Publicity Committee. The Garden Club website is an important publicity channel and provides a valuable resource for members as well as a showcase for the outside world. The website is built on the WordPress publishing platform, a tool being used my millions of people all over the world. Maintenance of the website is intuitive, but a minimum level of experience in the make up of publications and basic knowledge of the internet and its software such as html and php is required. Time involved would be approximately 2 hours a week. The webmaster receives input from the board and maintains the online calendar, webpages, posts of news items. The guilds (arrangers’ & propagation) will also provide material for the website. Also appreciated is the reporting of events which the webmaster happens to attend. There is an instruction guide available for the new webmaster.
