Belle Terre Community Yard and Craft Sale

The Garden Club at Palm Coast – Propagation Guild sold many plants at the Belle Terre Swim and Racquet Club Community Yard and Craft Sale this past Saturday.

The Garden Club also sold creative crafts as well as tickets for the upcoming Garden Tour 2019 to be held on Oct. 19 from 9am to 4pm,  showcasing 8 beautiful landscapes. Rain date Oct. 26.

Our next plant sale will be held Saturday, Sep.  28 from 9am to 3pm at the Tractor Supply Farmers Market at 250 Belle Terre Blvd in Palm Coast.

What is growing in Florida in September?

If you are an ornamental gardener, you might want to know what is blooming in September:

Flowering: Yellow Elder, Plumbago, Bush Allamanda, Buttonbush, Firebush, Turk’s Cap Mallow.

Or if you are busy producing veggies, then the Edibles planting projects may interest you:

Easily Survives Transplanting:  Arugula, Beets, Broccoli, Brussels Sprouts, Cabbage, Cauliflower, Chinese cabbage, Collards, Endive/Escarole, Kale, Kohlrabi, Lettuce, Strawberry, Swiss Chard.

Survives Careful Transplanting: Carrots, Celery, Mustard, Spinach.

Use Seeds: Beans (Bush, Pole) Cucumbers, Onions (Bulb, Green, Shallot), Radish, Squash (Summer, Winter), Turnips.
