Plan to join us as we celebrate the 20th anniversary of The City of Palm Coast’s Annual Arbor Day event at Central Park in Town Center.
The Garden Club at Palm Coast holds its monthly meetings at Club 51 Social Club located at 51 Old Kings Road N, Palm Coast. Visitors are welcome to attend and learn more about our club. Arrive early at 11:30 AM to purchase lunch and beverages at Club 51 and check out the Plant Sale outside. Gathering starts inside at 12:00 PM for registration and raffle tickets for floral designs and door prizes. The meeting begins at 1:00 PM with announcements and information sharing.
Special guests will be Carol Mini, Urban Forester for the City of Palm Coast speaking about “Correct Pruning Techniques for Trees and Bushes”. Carol received her BS in Environmental Horticulture from UF and became a Certified Arborist in 2006. For the past 19 years she has served as the city’s Urban Forester. Also present will be Bob Coble and his partner Bug from WE SHARPEN 4U. They will sharpen knives, scissors, and pruners for you (no gas or electric tools). $4 to $7 per tool. The meeting will close with raffle ticket drawings.
There will be a memorial service for The Garden Club at Palm Coast Honorary Member Jim Terlizzo on Tuesday Jan. 7 at 10:30 am at Santa Maria del Mar Catholic Church, 915 N. Central Ave., Flagler Beach.
Following the service will be the burial at Craig Flagler Palms Cemetery, 511 Old Kings Rd. South, Flagler Beach.
