From Sue Bennett-Bara’s daughter, Angela Bennett Willoughby:
Yesterday, we said a tearful goodbye to our Momma, Sue. She was one of the kindest, generous, and loving people in this world. She was surrounded by Family and Friends as she took her last breath. Her passing was peaceful after a long 7 week battle with pneumonia, lung surgery, and a fatal diagnosis of Mesothelioma Sarcomatoid. She fought with grace and a resolute understanding that she would gain her wings. Although this has been devastating for us, we are also glad she is no longer in pain and can breathe with ease.
Join us in a Celebration of Life for her on Saturday, July 20th at 10am at the Central Baptist Church – 5830 SR 100, Palm Coast, FL 32164. We will then transition to her home Church- Flagler County Baptist Church around 12 for a reception, located at 500 N. Pine Street, Bunnell, FL 32110.
Momma was extremely loved by so many in the Community so Parking will be tight, attendants will be on site to assist, carpool if you can but bring your stories, your memories and all the love for Ms. Sue.
We thank you for the outpouring of love you all have given to her these last few weeks and look forward to seeing you all then
Her daughter Angie and her son Steven, have been by her side throughout this very difficult time along with Tommy, her husband who also helps take care of Sue’s sister Sharon in a nursing home , as well as Kathleen Terlizzo, who lives with Sue.
