What is growing in Florida in September?

If you are an ornamental gardener, you might want to know what is blooming in September:

Flowering: Yellow Elder, Plumbago, Bush Allamanda, Buttonbush, Firebush, Turk’s Cap Mallow.

Or if you are busy producing veggies, then the Edibles planting projects may interest you:

Easily Survives Transplanting:  Arugula, Beets, Broccoli, Brussels Sprouts, Cabbage, Cauliflower, Chinese cabbage, Collards, Endive/Escarole, Kale, Kohlrabi, Lettuce, Strawberry, Swiss Chard.

Survives Careful Transplanting: Carrots, Celery, Mustard, Spinach.

Use Seeds: Beans (Bush, Pole) Cucumbers, Onions (Bulb, Green, Shallot), Radish, Squash (Summer, Winter), Turnips.

Orchid Auction

Flagler County Orchid Society holds an ORCHID AUCTION, Tuesday, September 24th, 7:00-8:30pm.

Location: The Flagler County Art League Room A208, 160 Cypress Point Pkwy, City Marketplace, Palm Coast, FL.

Some auctioned orchids are species ~ Orchids not typically found in the Big Box stores. Orchid auction prices typically range from $10-$40. You can pay Cash or Check.

District 6 Fall Meeting

The Garden Club at Palm Coast is hosting the FFGC *) District VI Fall Meeting on Tuesday October 22, 2019 at the

Halifax Plantation Golf and Country Club

All GCPC members are invited to attend this meeting. There will be interesting presentations, plant sale and shopping opportunities.

The lunch will be outstanding.
