The Garden Club at Palm Coast has recognized Maggie and Mike Marion of Foxhall Ln. as the October 2024 Garden Selection of the Month.

They have friends from Michigan who had moved to Palm Coast, and they would visit them once a year to play golf. They liked it so much that they moved to Palm Coast 10 years ago. Maggie also has a friend with four horses and likes to ride with her.
They have a lovely front yard with so much color that attracts pollinators who enjoy its beauty and fragrances. The yard is dotted with many birdhouses and feeders and has 4 to 5 clutches of bluebirds a year. In the hot weather, they attach a miniature umbrella above their birdhouse to help keep the mother cool!
The front island has many large magenta and bright red zinnias, plus beautiful red, pink, peach, and white roses. There are plumbago bushes, yellow allamanda, and firebush.
The garden was a buzz with several bees and monarchs and fritillary.
I was able to get photos of bees and monarchs while feeding on the colorful zinnias.
