GCPC Butterfly Garden at Linear Park Replenished

On May 20, 2024, volunteer members of the Garden Club, (Kathleen Fuss, Nancy Iandoli, Shara Rivera Brodsky, Carrie Clark, Marie Fabozzi and Judy Rafter) came out to help plant approximately 60 native plantings for our butterfly garden.

Kathleen Fuss coordinated the efforts of replenishing the butterfly garden with the new plants.

Celena and Joey Zimmerman, of Kraken Ventures LLC …Flora of Flagler, who specialize in native plants, landscape designs, consulting services and plant deliveries, helped us with the plantings and spreading pine needle mulch.

They also took the time to provide a pruning lesson for our Garden Club volunteers (Denise Garcia, Kenetha Kilmurray, Kathleen Fuss along with Celena Zimmerman) who helped to weed and prep for the planting.

Thank you so much to all who could make it all happen. The bees and Butterflies thank you too!

Honoring Heroes with a Beautiful Wreath

This Memorial Day weekend, Garden Club at Palm Coast dedicated members Frank and Marie Fabozzi took the lead in preparing and installing a beautiful wreath at the Florida Federation of Garden Clubs District VI Blue Star Memorial Marker on Bull Dog Drive and S.R. 100.

This special monument, which has stood since its dedication on November 11, 2006, is a tribute to our brave heroes. This year, it received a stunning wreath donated by the talented Susan Howell of Southern City Creations. You might remember Sue as one of the fantastic vendors from our 2024 Spring Festival.

A big shoutout to our member Ellen Werner for picking up the wreath and ensuring it arrived safely. Moments like these make our club unique as we unite to honor and remember those who have served.
