Club Meeting April 2017

The Garden Club at Palm Coast will hold its monthly meeting on Monday, April 10th at 1 p.m. (sign-in begins at 12:30 p.m.) at the Flagler County Extension Service, 150 Sawgrass Road, Bunnell.

Gayle Williamson from Urban Greens will discuss herb gardening. Urban Greens is a local grower of herbs, plants, micro greens.  Pairing wine with food and beer with food. She will be bringing starter kits.

There will be a raffle for a floral design and door prizes as well as light refreshments.

Propagation Guild Meeting April 2017

The Propagation Guild will meet on Wednesday, April 5 at the home of Jane Villa-Lobos (29 Clearview Ct N.) at 1:00. We will be finalizing the tasks of everyone at the plant sale. If you have any questions about pricing your plants, please let me know. Usually 3-4” pots sell for $2.00, 6” pots for $4.00. We will price the herb containers we made when you bring them on Friday, April 7 from 1-3 as there were different size containers. If you can’t bring your plants between 1-3 you can come later as I will be on site until 6 or 7. The wholesale plants will be delivered to Town Center hopefully Friday morning so if you come at 1:00 I’ll need help putting prices on every pot.

Please let me know if you will be able to attend Wed. April 5.

5th Annual Spring Festival and Plant Sale (2)

On Saturday April 8th, 2017, the Garden Club at Palm Coast will present its 5th Annual Spring Festival and Plant Sale in Central Park at Town Center, adjacent to the Palm Coast City Hall, from 9 am- 4 pm.

The highlight of the Club’s activities is the huge plant sale offering hundreds  of different plants. Proceeds go to scholarships for high school and college students interested in horticulture, agriculture and environmental sciences.

In addition there will be a range of garden-related vendors offering a variety of specialty plants and products,  arts and crafts, as well as food trucks, and children’s activities.

Club Meeting March 2017

Come join us on March 13 at the Flagler Extension Service, 150 Sawgrass Rd., Bunnell at 1:00 (sign-in at 12:30) to hear David and Sheryl Mitchell (Wild Birds Unlimited) advise us on how to turn our yards into habitats that attract song and color.
