Thanks to Faith Kaskisto we are able to visit The Butchart Gardens near Victoria, on Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada.
Once a Limestone quarry for Robert Butchart’s cement production, the property was transformed in 1909 by his wife, Jennie, into the Sunken Garden.

The Japanese Garden, the Rose Garden, the Italian Garden, Ponds, Fountains & Statuary were later added to enhance this 55 acre paradise.

Peace Doves
The Butchart Gardens has 2 master gardeners who walk the Gardens every morning to inspect & direct 75 gardeners.
