The Garden Club at Palm Coast is looking for volunteers/candidates for several roles in the Club.
Committee Chairpersons – The following Committee Positions and positions under those committees are vacant. Please consider helping.
Mail Chimp Coordinator – This position is under the Publicity Committee. The perfect solution would be to have 3 members learn different aspects of Mail Chimp so the work load is small and we can have back up when members are on vacation or need a break. The position is broken down into maintaining the data base of club members; sending out emails for monthly board meetings, general meeting notices, propagation guild events and notices, arrangers’ guild notices and events and sending out other notices for items that club members would be interested in. Time involved would be approximately 2 hours a month; the position that is open is to send out monthly notices for the board meetings, general meetings and notices for the guilds (arrangers’ & propagation) and any other events that are happening. This year our president has learned Mail Chimp and is sending her own notices out. There is an instruction guide now and a learning curve. Knowledge of computers, word, and pdf formatting is necessary.
Awards Committee Chair – a committee of several members help with application preparation and submittal for FFGC awards. Previous submissions include yearbook, newsletter and website. Award winners receive a monetary award for the club.
