Garden Club Christmas Tree 2019

The Holiday season is here and one of the annual Palm Coast traditions is the Palm Coast Public Library Festival of Trees. Many local organizations decorate a Christmas tree to showcase their club, their good cause, or just display a beautiful tree.

Preparations for this year’s Garden Club tree started two months ago. Kelley Callery organized a workshop where club members created ornaments for the tree. A variety of spiders, bees  and bugs were made of plastic spoons and other everyday items. The results were amazing and amusing.

On November 21 Andrea Rogers and her team of Arrangers and other club members decorated the Garden Club tree. This year’s theme is “Diversity in the Garden”. The tree displays Birds of many species, Lady bugs, Spiders and Dragonflies.

Last Saturday Margaret and I took a peak at the library. Here are some impressions. I forgot to count the number of trees, but I guess there are at least 50.

Our Garden Club is looking at doing a tree that will be on display along with others on the main street in Cary, NC. I came across pictures of the “Diversity in the Garden” Tree. The tree displays Birds of many species, Lady bugs, Spiders and Dragonflies.
I understand the ornaments were made from everyday items. Could you possibly send information on how to make these ornaments. They are awesome.
    Thank you,
    Marie
