SUMMARY:Garden Club General Meeting
DESCRIPTION:The Garden Club at Palm Coast holds its monthly meetings at the Club 51 Social Club located at 51 Old Kings Road N\, Palm Coast. Visitors are welcome one time to preview and learn more about our club. Arrive early at 11:30 AM to purchase lunch and beverages at Club 51 and mingle with club members. We expect Bob and Bug from We Sharpen 4U to stop by to sharpen your manual tools\, knives\, or blades while we are meeting inside.   \nThe gathering starts inside at 12:00 PM in the main hall for registration and raffle tickets for floral designs and door prizes. November is the month for the Garden Club’s “Plants for Pleasure” initiative. Members\, please bring festively wrapped potted houseplants to the November meeting. A team will distribute the plants to those in our community who are ill\, are shut-in\, in hospice care\, or residing in local nursing homes.   \nThe meeting begins at 1:00 PM with announcements and information sharing.   The guest speaker\, Denise Cochran from the Flagler Master Gardeners\, will speak about the best way to add new plants to a mature landscape. Plus\, Bob & Bug from We Sharpen4U will be present to sharpen all your hand tools\, scissors\, blades and knives (no power tools please). \nThe meeting will close with raffle ticket drawings. \nTime:\n11:30 AM Lunch available\n12:00 Registration\, Raffle tickets\n1:00-3:00 PM Meeting

SUMMARY:Day Trip - Edible Nature Hike
DESCRIPTION:Join The Garden Club at Palm Coast for an “Edible Nature Hike” led by Stacey Matrazzo of the Florida Wildflower Foundation. Learn how to identify native plants with edible and medicinal properties as you explore the scenic trails of Washington Oaks. \nThere are still a very limited number of places available\, so don’t wait to sign up! The fee for this field trip will be covered through The Scholarship Fund\, but participants are responsible for park entry and their own lunch. \nSign-up sheets are available at the Garden Club General Meeting prior to the trip date.
