SUMMARY:Wekiva Youth Camp Volunteer Training
DESCRIPTION:The Florida Federation of Garden Clubs’ Wekiva Youth Camp has been located at Wekiwa Springs State Park and over a six-week period each summer\, campers completing grades 1-8 spend a week living in cabins and learning about the importance of conservation and protection of our environment. \nVolunteer Training will be Friday thru Sunday. Volunteers are encouraged to stay for Open House on Sunday to greet and provide information to visitors about the Youth Camp Program. The first class will be painted rock cactus\, the second class will be beautiful necklaces made with alcohol inks and the third class will be garden fairy wands. \nEach class will be limited to 25 participants and all supplies will be provided for each person to make 2 of each project\, one to take home and one to be donated to the GCPC spring festival for sale at our booth. \nThe cost for each class is $10 and sign-up sheets will be at our general meetings and on our website. \nClasses will be held at Realty Exchange at Island Walk Shopping Center\, 300 Palm Coast Pkwy NE\, Palm Coast\, 10am – 12noon.
