Alvarez (Lecturer) \nUF/IFAS Environmental Horticulture \n\nDescription:   Most of our food and ornamental plants rely on some kind of critter to get the next generation going. Gardeners can help pollinators like bees\, butterflies\, beetles\, birds bats\, and more in a myriad of ways that can be adapted to any kind of garden or landscape. This presentation will cover several easy strategies and will end with a hands on workshop where attendees can build the start of their own pollinator hotels to take home. \nAttention: This Club meeting has been re-scheduled from April 8th to April 15th\, due to overlap with the FFGC Convention being held from April 6th to 10th\, 2019. This Convention takes place in St Augustine and the proximity offers a unique opportunity for our club members to participate in the conference.

DESCRIPTION:The Garden Club at Palm Coast Annual Club Picnic and Installation of Officers \n11:30 – Gathering and Sign In \n12:00 – Lunch \n1:00 – Meeting\nThe Garden Club at Palm Coast Annual Club Picnic will be held on Monday\, May 8th\, at the VFW\, in the outside Pavilion\, located at 47 Old Kings Road North\, Palm Coast.  \nThis is a MEMBER only invite \nThis is the last meeting of the 2022-2023 season for the Garden Club.  There will be a short meeting\, installation of the 2023-2024 officers of the club\, and presentation of scholarship funds to the High School recipients. The rest of the time –  mingle and have fun with your fellow members. \nThis is a potluck luncheon. IF YOU HAVE NOT called in your RSVP to SUE BARA\, please call her (1-904-826-6850) to let her know you are coming and let her know what you are bringing.   \nTea\, Water\, and Lemonade will be provided. NO desserts\, please (a cake is being ordered). \nThe potluck menu has plenty of salads\, appetizers\, and sides.  We can still use some main course items such as sandwiches (you can get two loaves of bread and prepare one loaf with whatever kind of sandwich you are preparing and use the 2nd loaf for the topper of the sandwich.  \nPLEASE REMEMBER TO BRING SERVING UTENSILS FOR YOUR DISH.
